Just when I thought I didn't have anything to blog about today, this happened: I arrived home after a particularly stressful day at work to find two identical letters from BT sitting on the mat (well, in our plastic container since we don't have a letterbox, us being gypsies).
This is what they basically said: If you don't pay the outstanding BT Broadband Bill we will cut off your supply and send the bill to a debt collection agency which will result in you appearing on a credit blacklist.
But this was the best bit: payment must be received by THURSDAY FEBRUARY 10th!!!!!!!!!!
What's worse? Billing us for a service we can't have? Giving us no time to pay it assuming we did have it? Or sending identical letters to ram this point home to us?
Answer: none of the above. It was the 40 minutes waiting on hold while we tried to explain to them for the THIRTY THIRD TIME that we COULDN"T FUCKING GET BROAD-FUCKING-BAND!
Still, what do you expect? One last thing: the final deadline for submissions to the next issue of Tachyon TV is this Saturday at midnight. Go on, you know you want to.
