Just a quick note about the new, slightly simplified, running order for Stripped Down Too:
Mon Sept 19th - Sun Sept 25th: The Dalek Invasion of Earth (Hartnell)
Mon Sept 26th - Sun Oct 2nd: The Peter Cushing Movies
Mon Oct 3rd - Sun Oct 9th: Tomb of the Cybermen (Troughton)
Mon Oct 10th - Sun Oct 16th: The Claws of Axos (Pertwee)
Mon Oct 17th - Sun Oct 23rd: The Talons of Weng-Chiang (Baker)
Mon Oct 24th - Sun Oct 30th: The Leisure Hive (Baker)
Mon Oct 31st - Sun Nov 6th: K9 and Company (Sladen)
Mon Nov 7th - Sun Nov 13th: Earthshock (Davison)
Mon Nov 14th - Sun Nov 20th: The Five Doctors (Davison)
Mon Nov 21st - Sun Nov 27th: Revelation of the Daleks (Baker)
Mon Nov 28th - Sun Dec 4th: Ghost Light (McCoy)
Mon 5th Dec - Sun Dec 11th: The Chimes of Midnight (Big Finish Audio)
I hope that meets with everyone's approval!

Now where am I going to fit in Dimensions In Time and The Case of Fatal Death? And I spent ages tracking those down!
Sounds good to me. I assume the planned meet in London has been dropped then?

Sorry about that. I thought it was just too long and I didn't want to drive anyone mad.
One small change is that we might take a week's break the Leisure Hive and K9 and Company and finish on Dec 18th instead...
As for the get-together. It's been "postponed".

You mean a week's break BETWEEN Leisure Hive and K9 & Company, I assume. (Sorry, sorry. I'm terrible at pointing out people's typos. It's almost, but not quite, as bad as me making silly comments Mystery-Science-Theater-style throughout all the Smallvilles my Dad's making us all watch. Bad me!)
What happened to the Bad Wolf/Parting of the Ways? That would have been a wondeful finish. Ah well. I guess I'll just have to do that on my own, along with all the other spinoffs. I'll slot them in along with K9, if that'd be okay.
And "postponed"? Bah. Get it sorted Neil, I want to meet everyone and tell them how terrible their puns are face-to-face.

I cut out BW and PotW cos most of us have already reviewed them and those who haven't still can.
I'm up for a DWC Strip Down if you are, Damon.
I'm up for a get-together at the Fitz (the 1st Thursday of every month, I think) and the first one I can make is 6th October (my birthday by a whacky coincidence!). I think they meet near the 23rd November too.
So, who is up for meeting on the 6th, going to the Fitz, and having a curry? I'll be getting a hotel so we could all stay in the same place if that helps but I need definite numbers...?
Posted by: Neil | Jul 26, 2005 at 20:58
I wouldn't be eating the curry, but I would definatly be up for it. Be cool to buy you a beer to celebrate your b-day. Put me down as a yes.
And just to clarify - where exactly is the Ritz? Public transport sucks, but it's all I've got...
Posted by: Darth Marsden | Jul 26, 2005 at 21:26
I'll probably have to miss "K9 & Company" as my VHS of that is back at my parents' house, and I'm not sure I can stand to see the Cushing movies again... But it looks like fun, anyway! :-)

Darth - not The Ritz, it's The *Fitz* (you and your typos!).
The Fitz is a pub in London where Who fans meet up. Well, it's where Who fans meet up and then ignore everyone they don't know, but you get the general idea...

I'll see if I can get a pass for that weekend, sounds cool

So, we're really going to risk our lives on the tube on a THURSDAY? Just checking before I book my tickets...
Posted by: Neil | Jul 27, 2005 at 14:33

Posted by: James W | Jul 27, 2005 at 14:35
Yeah, Thursday night is Fitz night. You'll have to take a sickie on the Friday.
Posted by: Neil | Jul 27, 2005 at 14:37
hmmm, not with my boss, ahh knickers. I'll have to console myself and read Island of Death and Spiral scratch. Still Ok for the 10th Aug?
Posted by: James W | Jul 27, 2005 at 14:40
Oh please, I risk my life every time I visit Chichester. London's nothing.
The 'Fitz'. Right. That'd be why all my Google (sorry, Doctor Whoogle) searches have turned up rather random. I take it you mean 'The Fitz & Firkin, 240 Great Portland Street, Central London, London, England? That's cool, I can make my way there.
