BBC8
Just found out that from August 6, the 8th Doctor comes to BBC7. Yes! Starting with Storm Warning it looks like BBC7 are going to be working their way through the Big Finish 8th Doctor audio collection.
Does this mean that they might work through Doctors 5 to 7 too? And what of the variable running length to Big Finish episodes? I seem to recall that Minuet in Hell has some 40+ minute episodes...

Excellent stuff - now those of us with no money can catch up on the adventures of the mysterious 8th Doctor. Now if I could just remember what frequency BBC 7 was...

Not to mention Neverland ... I presume they're sticking to Eighth because it's an unbroken set of stories with a through line that don't require the listener to work out which gap the stories would be on television.
I might tune in to see what it's like ...

Also the OG answers the editing question: "This is the first time Big Finish's Doctor Who serials written especially for CD will appear in broadcast format; the company had previously produced two of BBC Online's webcast serials. Four serials starring McGann -- Storm Warning by Alan Barnes, Sword of Orion by Nicholas Briggs, The Stones of Venice by Paul Magrs and Invaders From Mars by Mark Gatiss (which features Simon Pegg of "The Long Game") -- will be broadcast on consecutive Saturdays starting 6 August 2005 at 6.30pm, with repeats at 12.30am the following morning. The episodes have been edited for radio, with one particular plot thread (Ramsey, a Vortisaur in the Time Vortex) being excised. The broadcasts incorporate the first through third and fifth McGann stories produced (skipping 'Minuet in Hell')."
Wierdness abounds then -- is Minuet being skipped because of the timeslot or the content? I suppose Big Finish can start advertising their cds as 'uncut' ...

I actually quite liked the trailers, which you can hear on the official Who site. They even got McGann to do one specially.
