Doctor Who: 8,339,000 (36%)
Ant 'n' Dec: 7,136,000 (32%)
These really must be the most impressive figures the show has garnered yet. The first episode was *always* going to get a good result, but 8.3 million now the publicity has died down to a normal level is a stunning turnout. Once again ITV are beaten by a clear margin, probably an even bigger one when the final figure with recordings factored in comes out.
Now, what price 10 million again for Dalek in three weeks' time?

Really happy to hear the news about viewing figures! Up and up I say. I wasnt totally impressed by the 1st episode, 2nd episode I was thinking "getting better" and now, the 3rd!! Well I really enjoyed it, excellent acting and good effects! Billie Piper is doing a great job as well! So bring on the Dalek episode, I cant wait!

I am so happy I could cry. Honestly.
I mean, who thought the ratings would rise (and seemingly stabilise around the 8 million mark)? Pray for bad weather every Saturday...
Either way, barring accidents, this show could really be BACK! And I don't mean for two or three seasons - it could be back.... permanently!

Good news! A little part of me was worried that the ratings would drop like a stone once the publicity died down a bit, and the renewal would look a bit premature, but this is really encouraging.
Next week, the first two-parter and cliffhanger should be interesting, then it's time for the half-time Dalek.
It's a great time to be fan.
